Halloween Events

Landon Kusuno, Staff Writer

There are many festivities for children to attend on Halloween, everything from parades to haunted houses.

  • On  Oct 31, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. all of the children, grades k-6, will be marching down Main Street dressed up in all of their wicked costumes. The Halloween parade is put on by the Telluride School District with the help of the Telluride Fire Department.
  • If you can’t make the Halloween parade you can always catch the fire truck on the street passing out candy and glow sticks.
  • One of the biggest attractions in town is the Telluride Historical Museums haunted house. The haunted house is like no other, it incorporates some of Telluride’s history as well as horror. The haunted house is hosted inside of  the Historical Museum at 201 W. Gregory Ave.. Doors open at 4:30pm. The cost of admission is $5 for children and $10 for Adults. If you have any questions you can call 970-728-3344.
  • For adults (21 and over) The KOTO radio station is hosting the 44th annual KOTO Halloween Bash at The Liberty located at 121 S Fir St.. The Halloween Bash will include live music and a costume party. The price of admission will all go to KOTO radio.
  • Trick-or-Treating is the main way to celebrate Halloween. You can count on seeing children and parents having a good time trick-or-treating. Kids will hit the streets around 6:30pm and end when ever the candy is gone.

If you are in town on the evening of Oct. 31, be sure to check out some of these awesome events.
