Eastern Europe Travel and the Global Leadership Summit

Meeting: Dec. 18, 5 p.m. in room 306 at THS

Who can go? Current 8th – 11th grade students

In the summer of 2021, THS students will be traveling to Budapest, Krakow, Prague and Berlin! On our trip we will explore the history of conflict and peace building in cities that were once under communist rule and faced the destructive power of WWII, while finishing our travels at the Global Summit Leadership Conference in Berlin. In Budapest, we will observe how history of divisions and unifications affects modern-life. In Krakow, we will visit Auschwitz concentration camp. Once in Prague, the old capital of the Holy Roman Empire, we will tour the beautiful city, looking at ages of conflict. Finally, we will end in Berlin for the Global Summit Leadership Conference.

What is the Global Summit Leadership Conference?

Students from all over the world and the United States meet up to discuss Creating a Sustainable Future through design thinking! World renowned speakers will be in attendance, and the winning team’s project will have their work displayed in the Nobel Prize Museum in Sweden!

All interested students should attend the meeting on Dec. 18, 5 p.m. in room 306 at THS.
