Open Forum Policy

THS Today is a legally recognized public forum for student expression and is published by the journalism class at Telluride High School.  The expression made by students in the exercise of freedom of speech or freedom of the press is not an expression of the Telluride School District Board of Education.  The views expressed in the newspaper do not necessarily represent the views of the staff, adviser, Telluride High School administration, or the Telluride School District Administration.  Board policy regarding student publications is available at the Telluride School District Superintendent’s office or at Telluride High School.

Letters to the Editor Policy

THS Today welcomes and encourages letters to the editors as a way to express your important viewpoint on local issues.  Letters should be less than 200 words and will be edited for space and legal considerations, but not for inaccuracies, grammar, and spelling.  Letters must contain information pertinent to students of Telluride High School. The staff reserves the right to not publish any letter not meeting these requirements. Unsigned letters will not be published.  You can submit letters in person to the adviser, or by mail to THS Today Editor, 725 West Colorado Avenue, Telluride, CO 81435.

Our Mission

The mission of THS Today is to encourage and inspire all Telluride High School students to share their voice.  We believe that it is important to speak up and raise awareness, and the goal of our newspaper is to have an medium where students can be the change they want to see.
